Some questions may have child questions that only display if the parent is answered one way or another.

If a parent question is answered favorably, all child questions that were configured to display only if the question was answered unfavorably are added to the total score with full points (even though such questions were technically never answered at all). In other words, it is just as if all of those child questions were included on the survey and they were all answered favorably.

Any questions that are not displayed (and hence not answered) are not included in the score calculation. They do not have a negative or positive impact on the score.

For example, imagine an assessment with 10 questions, where 4 of the questions are only shown if the answer to question #6 is positive. If the answer to question #6 is negative, then the entire survey is scored out of the total possible points as if it only had 6 questions.
