For unit assessments - asset enrichment
Asset enrichment is optional on unit assessments. When created creating a new unit assessment, a superuser can choose whether or not to enable it.

For application assessments- application enrichment
Application enrichment is mandatory on application assessments. As part of the assessment process, a participant will need to classify the application based on the data classification policy (See also: /wiki/spaces/IID/pages/2028961799 ). When the application enrichment step is completed, the metadata about that application will also be updated based on the values chosen.
