8.1.3 Working With Question Lists

To simplify the process of choosing questions to create an assessment, you can also use question lists. If you’re using a well-known assessment framework, then SaltyCloud will prepopulate your instance of Isora GRC with some default question lists. You can also create them yourself.

Click the “manage question lists” link to see a list of existing question lists, then use the + button to create a new one.

When you create a new question list, all of the existing categories come up, along with all of their questions nested underneath. Click the checkboxes to choose which questions to include. If you choose a category, all of the questions under that category will be selected, speeding up the process.

Assign the question list a name, choose the target type from the drop-down list, and check the checkbox if you want to allow this question list to also be used for vendor assessments. Finally, click the “save” button.

When you edit a question list, it basically takes you back to the same window where you create a new one. You can change the name, attributes and/or the selection of questions to include.

Questions in a Question List are grouped by category. Within each category, they are ordered alphabetically. For more details, see 8.1.3.1 Ordering of Questions .
