8.1.5 Working With Answer Response Groups
On the admin module, click “manage answer response groups.” Answer response groups are used to group multiple possible answers together. When you initially add a answer response group, you just give it a name and description. Then you should click the pencil icon on the new line in the table to add the actual answer choices. The answer choices you want to use must already exist before you can add them to an answer response group. You cannot delete an answer response group that has been assigned to any questions.
You will see a list of existing answer choices and you can choose which ones to include in the answer group. You must include at least one favorable and one unfavorable answer. A favorable answer has a multiplier value of 1, and an unfavorable answer has a multiplier of zero.
To specify multiple answer response groups at once, you can upload a CSV file. Use the following format:
FIeld 1 | Field 2 | Field 3 |
---|---|---|
Name of answer response group | Description | Comma-separated list of answer choice codes* (enclosed in quotation marks) |
*The code is a unique identifier for the answer choice. Some answers may have the same text, but a different multiplier, so you must use the code to specify the answer choice.
An example file with two answer response groups specified could look like this:
yes-no-na, “Yes, No or NA”, “yes1, no0, na”
Partial Yes Favorable, default yes favorable with partials, “1, part 75, part 50, part 25, 0”
